It's Your Party is locally owned and based in Atascadero, CA and operates throughout San Luis Obispo County. We want to help you plan memorable events and do the work so you can enjoy them. It's Your Party just Celebrated our first anniversary in August and we are looking forward to many more years of fun.
About the Owner
Anne Wilson moved to San Luis Obispo in 1994 to attend Cal Poly, and never left. She graduated from the College of Engineering in 2000 with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. After a few years working as a Project Manager she decided to manage parties instead of software projects. She'll use anything as an excuse to throw a party at home and likes nothing better than watching people have a good time.
In the past, Anne has used her planning skills as a Lieutenant Governor in KEY Club, a counselor for the Cal Poly new student orientation program Week Of Welcome, a volunteer at many non-profit events, and a coordinator for off-site software planning sessions.
Recently, Anne completed a 15 course certificate program for Event and Meeting Planning. The program is offered by San Jose Sate Professional Development Center and was one of the first colleges to do so. It is designed by professional event and meeting planners who are members of the Northern California Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (NCCMPI).
Anne's next goal is to become a Certified Special Events Professional. This certification is awarded by the International Special Events Society (ISES). ISES was founded in 1987 to foster enlightened performance through education while promoting ethical conduct. ISES works to join professionals to focus on the "event as a whole" rather than its individual parts.
